RACHEL Z
Originally hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba - Rachel has been a personal trainer for over 10 years. Her athletic background is a combination of dance, rugby and track. She graduated from the University of Manitoba with a double Honours degree in both English and Psychology and attempts to use that in conjunction with her personal training certifications (CPTN, Can-Fit-Pro) to really help women achieve their strongest self.
When it comes to supplementation, she gears on natural fundamental ways to support clients. This is where the usage of cannabis comes into play. Having struggled with anxiety as well as a previous eating disorder, cannabis has been a wonderful way to achieve balance. Combining cannabis with other natural anti inflammatories truly show that a relationship with plants is the way of the future and wants to help break the stigma of what cannabis users are like. She currently works at eHealth Innovation out of UHN on a digital diabetes platform and wants to further the actual medical usage of cannabis in regards to hormonal disorders. KEVIN Z
Kevin's background in fitness extends over a decade, developing a love for movement and physical strength through sculpting his physique at a young age and joining martial arts. This passion led to him becoming a top-placing bodybuilder as well as certified personal trainer, which gave him the chance to share his passion for fitness with others.
Having suffered a near career ending knee injury at the age of 19, Kevin turned to cannabis instead of painkillers as a way to optimize healing after his surgery. Understanding the way to leverage cannabis and more natural remedies has always been something Kevin has turned to as he never responded well to the traditional forms of medicine and painkillers and the really heavy side effects opiates can induce. After making a successful but brief comeback to bodybuilding and winning his class despite the accident,
Kevin now focuses on helping his clients to adopt their own champion mindset and lifestyle, regardless of their starting point. He also is a stretch therapist, formerly trained in FST techniques. Which is especially for clients struggling to get stronger after an injury or those seeking to prevent it. Kevin’s long time relationship with cannabis as medicine has led into a deeper awareness of the power of healing plants and the symbiotic exchange we can participate in with nature herself. In addition to cannabis, he has studied and explored the history and techniques surrounding plant allies - some which are the most suppressed and date back to humanity’s ancient times. As a plant medicine facilitator, Kevin presents a re-imagining of the warrior-shamanic archetype and the ancestral strategies used by multi-ethnic generations across the diaspora to heal from generational trauma. The cognitive ecstasy provided by his techniques using the plant medicine can heal deep-rooted issues, and bring an appreciation and awareness for the living world through integration.
